Hi there,

I was wondering if I can use infrared to trigger the flash wireslessly from my 5 d mark 2, ( say my flash is taken off the camera) , or is this only a feature of 530 flash.

Yes, if you put an st-e2, 550ex, 580ex or 580ex2 on the hotshoe

alternatively you can buy a radio trigger but for the most part they lose ettl and need manual mode. Exception being radio poppers (but you'd need to buy the st-e2, 550ex, 580ex or 580ex2 as well anyway) or the new pocket wizard tt system
