Cute subjects, cute pose, good picture. The light reflection in her eyes is good.

The background is a bit cluttered, and the colors and intensities in the background detract from the subjects rather than complement them. If you try it again, see if you can get a medium grey background, something much simpler. The ideal background would let the girl's skin and the hair (girl's and cat's) stand out. The orange vest and the orange lettering on her sleeve are a nice touch.

And of course, tell the cat to keep it's eyes open. Assuming it listens.

I admit that the background is really mess. They were playing togther and I said "how about taking a picture", so the picture was taken. The cat closed its eye because there was a pre-flash and it close its eyes so quickly.
