small fire drama downtown...

and by small, i mean real small. the bangs that lead to the fire sounded like cannons going off though. here is my set of the scene that took place...

1/ after whatever blew at the top of the power pole, the base started to cook pretty good...

2/ so...the fire department showed up and got on the phone to the power company

3/ when the power company showed up they had to 'decommission' the pole...

not really an exciting fire but the loud bangs that preempted it sure scared the pants off of me. can't say as i have ever seen a power pole start on fire either.

thanks guys. it really wasn't a big deal but still not something you don't see everyday. By the next morning the power company had the pole back in service. just painted a nice natural black color now :D
