This is my first serious attempt at a moon shot. I employed the 70-300mm QCL at 300mm, 1/250, f/5.6, and cropped the bejeesus out of it:

I'm not real happy with it, as I think the moon was a bit high to get a decent shot. I really had to sharpen this one up, too...

I think I see a little green and pink color impurity in there. I don't think the Moon is actually made of green cheese.
A good color noise reduction program might be able to filter that out.

Yea, I see it too. Along the edge of the shadow. Not too bad though. Pretty good shot. Try shooting at a 1/400 f/8 ISO 100 next time. See if that works better.

Actually, no. It was pretty high in the sky.
Next time, I'll wait until it drops a little!
