Does this lens still work on the newer cameras?

Should do but there is a chance it may need to be rechipped. I use a non dg sigma 105.

Thanks Brian, is it expensive to rechip a lens? In other words would it be more cost effective to just buy the new version? That is if you had to rechip yours.

Well at one time think sigma were re-chipping for free - not sure if they are now.

Are you able to get your hands on the lens and try it out? Probably your best bet for finding out the answer.

It's just the older sigma 105 meant for film cameras. Many lenses became digital apparently by the application of different lens coatings (and of course cost more)
