What settings did you use to take them? f4 ISO ?? those, unless you used auto or something preset. Also did you use a UV filter?

AV mode, f11,1/500,ISO 100 for the first picture
AV mode, f5.6,1/180, ISO 200 for the second picture, both with UV filter
