Not planes, but these guys were flying none the less out at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) today prior to the Subway 500...

Nice!

Thanks...

Nice shots of the Pace Car from Friday night.

Mercifully, I didn't have to stick around for the Nationwide race.

It was pretty fun, was right on pit wall for most of the day :D

Both, was part of the 01 & 0 car crew. The 0 car qualified and just had to run at least 3 laps to collect cash so we sat in the pit box for the night.

Not sure if he is going to make it out for that race or not. This one was last minute notice. This was only the 2nd time he was able to get me in, other time was in memphis. Do you get to do any motorsports for work or just football?

Very nice aerials! But no wheel blur! ;)

I actually haven't worked NFL broadcasts (full time) in about five years. NASCAR (Feb - July) and a little MLB Playoff action in October keep me plenty busy each year.

Now that's some cool stuff. And you say, I've been holding out...haha.

Thanks Manish...

My only defense: I rarely get an opportunity to wander out with the race fans. Saturday night races seem to work out better because there's more going on at Noon on Saturday than when we roll in for a Sunday day race (6 or 7am usually.)

I was amazed at how off the hook these guys were getting given that they were working in an area about the size of a basketball court (and surrounded by several hundred people.)

No tires, no hay bales, just some portable fencing.

Shi*t man...I have seen some bad stuff happen on those things in real life. Nothing more sickening than a leg collapsing with a compound fracture... *hurls*

I guess this is traveling act sponsored by one of the "energy" drinks (Monster, maybe?) and they'll be at several more NASCAR weekends this year.

I thought I'd seen most of the ways a Featherlite trailer can be modded but I'll have to now add "Landing Ramp" to the list.
