I have a Canon EOS 300D which I would like to be able to operate remotely from a distance of say 50 feet and from any angle. Canon only supply two options:
1. Infra red control which can only be used when facing towards the front of the camera
2. The wired controller RS60-E3 which is only long enough to use with a tripod to prevent camera shake.
Does anyone know of a third party option, preferably using a radio signal, which can be used to operate this camera from in front or behind?
Fingers crossed

The easy and dirt cheap solution .. if wired is still an option.. is to cut your remot in half,. and extend it...
For the 10D this was required as the plug at the 10D end was totally unique...
But in the rebels case I think that the plug is actually a fairly standard three condutor phono plug? If so,. no need to cut your existing cable,. just get the corret extension at an electronics shop.

Thanks for your help guys. Will seek out a radio control and if not successful, will just lengthen the cable. By the way Marshall, I lived in Wetherby for 22 years. Now live in Tadcaster.
Cheers

How is it connected? I've got PWs but have only used them to trigger strobes.

Requires a special cable. You can get them from Paramount. The "keep alive" cables are pricey (over $100) but worth it IMO. I am going to be ordering one soon.
