I'm currently a Smugmug Pro user but it lacks a vital feature that I know is costing me sales. They won't allow pricing in currencies other than US Dollars - given that I am an Australian and the bulk of my clientele are Australian this puts some clients off. SM have been saying for years that they will introduce foreign currency but that it isn't high on their list of priorities.

A couple of other bugbears I have with SM is that SEO is fairly limited and SM stuff seems to get first priority rather than the photographer and that they insist on making payment by cheque in US dollars instead of electronic funds transfer.

I've looked at zenfolio, exposure manager, photoshelter as well as smugmug and they all have their deficiencies.

I'm looking for a website solution that offers the following:

Gallery hosting that allows clients to order prints and digital downloads with pricing set by me.

Customisable look and feel and the ability to be integrated into a website.

Prints come from a truly professional quality lab.

Pricing can be set in Australian Dollars (or any other currency)

Payment to the photographer is electronic instead of cheques.

Orders are shipped internationally and well packaged.

Coupons/print packages available to clients.

Proper SEO that showcases the photographer not the hosting service.

I think Exposure Manager or Photo Shelter are probably closest to what I want but they are still tied to US dollar currency only pricing and pay by cheque. The printer Zenfolio uses will not ship outside the US or Canada so they are out as far as I'm concerned.

Can anyone suggest an affordable service that will meet all my requirements?

Will Photocart do what you need it to do? I use it and know I don't touch on half of what it offers. I don't think it orders from a lab ... it sends me a note to tell me I have an order and then I deal with the lab directly. Not sure if you can auto do this or not.

Photocart is pretty close except for the printing direct from a lab.

You could always set up a service with Digitalworks and get them to send direct.

But they don't offer photo gallery hosting as far as I know.

I use Bond Imaging for printing in Melbourne - yes I can self-fulfil through them with digital uploads but it defeats the purpose of allowing people to order direct from the website.

You might take a look at progalleries.com.au - they're not the prettiest around, but they are Australian. Not sure if they tick all your boxes, but worth checking out anyway.
