I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph a certain international Grand Prix dressage rider in training - C&C as always :) (And I mean it - I'm hopeless at dressage photography and I need some pointers!!!)

(EDIT: Umm, thinking about it this probably belongs in 'sport' not 'pets' - oh well...)

I think they look great. I would love to ride a grand prix dressage horse! I can only imagine how their movement would feel. As far as c&c, hmmmm. Horizon is a hair crooked on some of them. The second image is my favourite.I think you did a great job. You didn't catch any of the gaits at an awkward moment and they're all well exposed and that's the most important part IMO.

You guys have the prettiest subdued light over there in GB. NICE pix. I really like shooting greys. .. they photograph in a similar tonal range as people/flesh.

They're all nice.. but the action in the first shot is really nice. .. though I think it would look good cropped a bit tighter.

Lovely. If that was me riding I'd be delighted with these. Agree that #1 could benefit from a tighter crop.

Thanks all. #1 is cropped thus because it was taken with a short lens (17-55) and more cropping would reduce image qual. And I like it like that :)
All taken with 300mm f/4 L at f/4.5 on a 400D ISO400 1/1250th Tv except the first which was 55mm f/2.8 on a 40D ISO400 1/6400th (yes stupid me, I know...)
