Hello from Oregon
I have an s-20 and got it when they first came out. My problem is photos are too dark. even when used on auto mode. and with or without flash Usually I have to go to a software program lighten them up. any help appreciated.

Did I get no response because this is a normal thing for canon photos to be dark

No, this isn't a normal thing for photos to come out dark. Have you changed any of the settings on the camera such as ISO speed, shutter speed or changed the exposure to a negative value? Are the subjects you take in really bright surroundings? This would cause the iris to close and let in less light and give you underexposure. Could you give more details of the shooting environment you are taking your picutures in?

Thanks for the response John, I have only changed the resolution and compression settings always shoot on the auto or manual never fooled with white balance or anything else the photos are always dark inside buildings and sometimes outside. they also always seem to print darker than they show on the computer screed after downloaded.
