I thought I'd share some photos I've taken of various firearms. The first two were shot last year. The last three were taken this past week with available light. I always forget to take pictures of the setup so ask away if you'd like further details than provided ;) I know PhotosGuy has been generous with his knowledge - I'm just adding to the idea pool :)
Thanks for looking!

I think the best shot might be the .44. The XD lacks DOF which you typically see in product shots. All are very, very good shots though and any of my comments are simply nit picks.

Yea, gotta agree with charlesu on this one. The shot of the Deagle is amazing. Awesome work man. Good commercial photography. Makes me want to go to my local dealer and pic up a gun or two. Post more!

I agree great shots,. and the Desert Eagle looks to be the winner here,. BUT
I'll nit pick :)
The $1,200.00 plus handgun is cheapened significantly with the addition of the crap ass $75.00 BSA dot site,.. and I never understood the need to add a knife in these images.
O-kay so the knife thing is totally my own problem ;)
But seriously, the plastic red dot is out of place.
Back to the Photography,. Excellent! All the rifle photos look like they could easily be the work of a hired pro shooting for a catalog.

Thanks for checking them out fellas. I added one more shot of the Desert Eagle to the original post. The web host went down so I had to upload them to a another server for now. CDS, I agree with you on the BSA; however, it was $35 :D - It worked well but it messed up the finish on the gun. The DE and 1911 belong to a buddy of mine. The XD and Bushmaster are mine. I'm going to break out the tripod this week so I can take another set of the XD and XM15. I agree about the DOF - it was a windy day and it was playing hell on my diffuser panel ;) Thanks again for looking!

I am wearing the knife in the DE pic as I type this!! super light and thin very comfortable. It sat in a drawer for 3 years or so, till I mispalced my pocketknife...
And I used to have a .44 Eagle, in parkerized finish. Now let's see the fireball that comes out the end of the barrel when ya set it off!!
Great pics, all.

Very beautiful shots!!!
I just love the lighting effect on the Desert Eagle!
That TV blue light really does it for me.
Best regards,
Andy

Desert Eagle w/ blue tint is awsome, never would have thought to use a blue screen tv for the effect. Great work on all the pics. Nice to see others that have similar enjoyments.

Thanks for the kind words guys! It's going to be a rainy day tomorrow, so I might mess around with some more lighting. If your DVD player supports photo cds, you can make some solid color jpegs in Photoshop to change the color on your TV screen. I made 3072x2048 files in Photoshop and burned a photo cd in Nero. Here is an example from the round file last year.
Springfield Armory XD-9 (http://home.swbell.net/ryer52/temp/guns/194_9459.jpg) - Once again a 30 second exposure but with a green TV screen. I popped a shoe mount flash around the gun several times.
I'll take some setup shots the next time I do this. Thanks again for looking everyone!
