I'm new to all this digital photo stuff. After using the SX10 for only a couple of weeks I saw a dark spot in my photos. I did clean the lens, but it didn't help. With only a little research I found an identical example of the spot on another forum and the spot was identified as dust on the camera sensor. The suggestion was to look at the manual and follow the instructions for cleaning the sensor. The SX10 doesn't have any instructions for cleaning the sensor and, of course, the lens can't be removed. Does anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the SX10 sensor? (Other than buying a DSLR) Thanks.

If you've only had it for a couple of weeks, my suggestion would be to return it for another one. There shouldn't be dust on the sensor of a compact camera, since there's no practical way to clean it at home.

Where did you buy it from? Most places should return it.
