Please critique those two shots (technical aspects, obviously :D):
I would prefer the first one, but am disturbed by the fact, that I'm possibly a moron, since I cut out her ear... or does that still look okay? Also, both images uncropped, slightly color adjusted.
Thanx for looking.

The first one, at least, is a bit soft besides the fact that she has some sort of eyebrow issue.

Pretty girl. The images are a little bit soft. And a tad flat. Might add just a bit of curves to give them a little more snap or bring up the tones just a tad. Also a very little bit of USM.
She is a pretty girl. Don't worry about the ear. Van Gogh cut his ear off and he was a master.

I dont think the picture draws any interest, also the models hair looks messy

Sorry about the unsharpness, I wasn't doing any post processing, default everything (from RAW via C1).
As for the eybrow issue, I'm not sure what it is, really, I figure it must be something with the light, shadows, make-up, and possibly also jpeg compression.
Charles, didn't van Gogh cut of his nose? :) I guess it was itching him too much frome coke sniffing, ahahaha. Ok, that wasn't that funny, but let's go on.
Perhaps you're right, serioussolutions, from technical aspect, there is maybe something missing in the background, since I don't imagine how this could be shot in a much better way... any ideas of what there needed to be done? Still, I think one should be drawn by her expression, that's, at least, why I like it.
