prop ideas for a pre-school age shoot

I have been asked to take a pre-school class picture, and then individual shots of each child. I am thinking a white background for the individual shots, but I would like to include some sort of prop. What single prop would look good for each individual portrait?

The only things I can think of are a big (3ft tall) Crayon, if you can find one. Big building blocks or maybe a chalkboard. Is there anything in the classroom you might be able to use?
