Nice shots, cant beleive they let bikes on the track without the lights being taped.

The lights are plastic... as are the bodies. Most often when you see a crashed street bike on the track the light housing are in tact... unlike the body work which is split and shattered. My point is that the lights are no more a hazard or hassle to clean up than body work. No more prone to being damaged than body work.

On to the photos - I think you have a pretty good start. I would untilt the camera on the first shots. Also try to shoot around things like cones - they are a part of track life but detract. The panning shot is good... nice motion blur. One nit on that one is the spacing - I would try for more space in front of the bike and less behind it. Gives the bike somewhere to go in the frame for more motion effect. I like the last one as well. Good effort - keep it up!

A promising start, I agree with Rob, the hairpin is on a bit of a slope but not that much. Like the rider position in 2 maybe slightly tilted too much but could be me being picky, well followed pan in 3 maybe zooming out a bit will help keep the bike middle/right of the frame. Like 4 it's always good to get a few different shots during the day.

Will you be at Knockhill on Sunday for the SMRC meeting?

Unfortunatly being a track day there were cones at all the best bits!

No, its a 3hour drive to get there from where I stay! so I plan well in advance. The track day was a one off, Drove there, took the pics then home! leaving the house at 4am is something I would not like to experience that often :D
