View Full Version : A computer question... relating to challenge photos

I just replaced my old pc with a new Mac, and am dealing with (expected) transition issues. In looking at the challenge photos, and others too, for that matter, I frequently check what always came up as a "properties" window on the pc for additional info, and also had the opanda program for checking exif info. Could someone instruct a first time Mac user how to access that data from a Mac? I have the mouse set up for R & L click, but it does nothing, and unless I misread something, ( always possible ) the opanda software isn't compatible with Mac. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't use Mac and I just typed exif for mac in google and found this, http://wareseeker.com/free-exif-viewer-mac/ hope this help.
And it was very interesting that I found this, a discussion in our forum a year ago. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=444560 hope this help too.

Thanks, jesseli...I found that same info late last night...I downloaded one of them, but couldn't seem to get it to work. I'll keep messing with it. I actually checked this forum this morning to delete this message and found your reply. I think I found a way to get most of the other info I was looking for also. Not being a particularly savy computer person, it may take me awhile to get used to this, but I'll get it eventually!:)
Thanks again for your input!

If you use FireFox3, there are two add-ons (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/): FxIF 0.2.3 and Exif Viewer 1.4.5.
If you use Safari, I'd switch to FF3 ;)
Or you could use this: http://regex.info/exif.cgi
