The first pic is a tad grainy, I love the second pic. Might want to tilt the #3? I love the comp in #4.

I like all of them, but they all look noisy to me...Thats my only complaint:)

I think they are lovely! My main complaint (especially with #2) is that the horizon isn't straight so it makes me feel a little "sea-sick"! I would rotate the image 1 or 2 degrees CCW until it is straight.

The last three are slanted.and they are grainy.was this on purpose?

The last one's kinda cool; but it needs the horizon adjusted to level.

thanks for the genuine critique and i will adjust the slants and abt the grainy look - it made intentionally i thought it would add a different feel to the photo......anyhow thanks for that and keep critique my work..it will help me to grow fast.

Can't say any nail it for me. #1 doesn't have enough ground to be balanced - #3 improves massively, but still isn't a particularly interesting shot. I think you could improve it significantly by brightening the water at bottom left a little, having a little bit of counter-balance to the sky. Still, the black bulk at bottom right is just so dominant.

#2 has a 1:1 sky:land ratio, which is very rarely flattering and doesn't look nice here. I appreciate you've made an effort to combine a reasonably interesting sky with some foreground rocks intermingled with reflective water (a very good idea), and that the bottom right side is less heavy than in #3, but the trees at the upper right are too large and dominant, and the whole composition just doesn't click.

#4: Not enough interest here. EXIF data says it was shot at 30.5mm? but I think the best hope for a better outcome required zoomed in a lot more and capturing more interest in a few specific birds.

Silhouettes are an all-or-nothing element - the outline has to provide a mass of satisfying interest to make up for the lack of internal interest.

Cheers, Tony
