Italian Air Force

Hey folks,
The Italian Air Force that perform their air shows (the Frecce Tricolori) was out the other day over base practicing their routine. I happened to have my camera with me and walked away with some shots I was pleased with. Never shot air show stuff before, so C&C is always welcomed!

Great shots of the Tri-colored Arrows..

They put on a great show..

I was at Ramstein AB in Germany in 1988 when the crashed into the crowd killing 70 people... We were closed enough to feel the heat from the crash and had to take cover...

Thank for the input Frank. I was curious if they were going to seem that way. It was pretty cloudy and I'm not too familiar with air show PP. I'll see what I can tweak...thanks!

I can't believe you were there for that. What a travesty. Glad to hear you were able to escape.


It was a crazy day... I didn't take my 35mm that day, but had my old VHS video camera and caught it on tape... It was a very sad time, I just couldn't believe all the people that were taking pictures of the dead and injured.
I stayed away from air shows for years after that, but am about to head out to Langley AFB to shoot some of the air show there...
