I just got a new XSi on the weekend. First DSLR, and of course I've been taking pictures of macro plants and the sky and everything else that's been done a thousand times before. I've never done portraits before and I just wanted to know if I did these right. Just self portraits with a B&W filter and sharpening, and the crazy one with a "300" filter. I'm not usually this expresive, so as you can probably guess these are extreme portraits.
One thing I have to say is that the kit lens is sharp. Really sharp, although it does help that mine came from Canon. :D
