Hi, for those living in snow country and for those "smarter people not living in snow country" and only visiting snow country, has anyone used this camera cover/warmer product?

I have not used it or anything like it. How cold of temperatures are you talking about shooting in?

They sure do not do a very good job of demonstrating what it does, especially considering the $139 price tag.

Really! Those are the worst product pictures I've seen in a long time. They almost look like really crappy HDR's.

I know a photojournalist that has taken a few pictures in sub zero temperatures. He didn't say anything about any special covering or equipment. But he wasn't crawling around in the snow and wasn't out in the weather terribly long.

Kinda cool idea, but not worth $140. And a really horrible website too - images compressed to within an inch of their life.

Your camera can handle the cold in most cases just fine ;)
That cozy wont do much. The camera is not making any heat for it to keep in, thus it will just chill down to ambient temp eventually as well.

I think the whole point of the thing is to keep the body of the camera warm enough to the touch and the glove is there so your fingers wont freeze if thye need to change certain settings. I see it as something to allow you to get a better feel for your camera instead of a bulky glove trying to hit the shutter button.

Yeah, that's what I figured it was for, not keeping the camera warm necessarily. Anyways, crap website.
