I do NOT claim to know what I'm doing, and I'm grateful for any suggestions.
I had my P&S with me the other day when we had some really nice sky effects from the clouds.
These are a couple of my favorites. The rest (that I'm willing to display) are here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/29881484@N07/sets/72157617236678618/).
The second one -- the church under clouds -- is a bit tantalizing.
Aesthetically I think I prefer this one (http://www.flickr.com/photos/29881484@N07/3469804338/in/set-72157617236678618/), or maybe this one (http://www.flickr.com/photos/29881484@N07/3469804054/in/set-72157617236678618/), but the one here captured the light in an interesting way.
Any ideas how I could improve these?
I think some of these look a little soft. I think the shutter speed was < 1/100 but there could be a DOF issue.
I suspect composition could be better for some of them. That might be clearer if you check out the other pictures.
I'm also interested in suggestions on post-processing. I just got a Photoshop book but it looks exhausting to take on.
