Tried some new things...

I am really enjoying my new Digital Rebel. I thought I would try some new things... what do you all think?

This first shot is of traditional indian baskets on a Navajo style dancing blanket. I filmed at a 3" shutter speed in low (natural) light at iso 1600.

I forgot to mention that I twisted the lens slightly during the exposure to get that blurred effect.

Here is the other shot... I forgot the settings, but it is simply coloured glasses in the window sill, with angled direct sunlight in behind. They were dusty so I rinced them off, and decided to photograph them while they were still wet, using a star filter on the lens. I wish I could remember what the settings for your benefits, but saurry... I sometimes forget to look at that, getting caught up in the moment. I was the first shot I took too! I am pleased with it. What do you all think?
