SF has a lot to offer photo wise. If you are after recommendations for places to visit you may want to let us know what sort of photography you are hoping for.

There are several standard tourist traps in San Francisco, and any tourist guide will direct you to Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, and all that standard stuff.
Then the photographer needs to venture off to a few other places as well. Baker Beach, at night, shooting toward the GG Bridge. Marin Headlands in day, shooting toward the GG Bridge. Treasure Island at night, shooting toward the city skyline. The list goes on and on. I can kill a whole day just shooting at the SF Zoo. GG Park and the Conservatory of Flowers.

You should check out Keeble & Shuchat Photography in Palo Alto. Its somewhat south of San Francisco but they have everything. The address is 290 California Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94306, or call them at 650-327-8996. They actually have two stores, one for flim cameras, and one for digital cameras. Check it out!

Lots of places to photograph, even in the "tourist traps".
