I apologize for the rant, but I just need to vent...
My 40D got the dreaded Error99. So last Monday I took it to the local repair center. Complete silence for a week. Wrote to them this Monday, then finally got a call back saying it was a shutter problem, not a word on when it would be fixed.
Wrote to them again last night, this morning got an e-mail back saying the new shutter would "probably" arrive next week.
At the same time another person with the same problem got his camera fixed in two days...
*sigh*
