OH SWEET, RICH CHOCOLATE.
You can never* eat too much chocolate :p
*By never, I mean always.
It didn't turn out too bad for my first shot at it, Dave. My baking needs a little work, but all the more reason to to it again.

I was out for dinner, then we walked around looking for a decent pub (don't ask! g/f and I ended up bailing), looked through a window when just after half time and decided not to stop in, got home, and saw the result. Weak!
Crickets looks pretty bad too.

What records did you add to the collection?
At 1.40am I was uploading photos from CF cards from a function I shot last night.
I'm about to head off to the Dome for what should be the last game of footy I go to for the year. I'm not feeling too confident about our chances this afternoon but looking forward to a great year next year. The new coach looks like a perfect fit for North and we had a rotten run with injuries this year - if we can keep a pretty fit team on the field look out for exciting development over the next year or three.

Yeh, I have the same issue. I'm not too fussed though, it's a pretty cheapish passion which is good.

Added some Red Hot Chili Peppers and some Green Day. I've been looking for Nimrod for months!

When I'm in bridge, and I try to make the window so it's not maximised it just disappears off my screen. Basically, I can have it maximised or minimised. Any idea on how to get the in between back?

I found this statement to be bizarre: "New York's chattering classes are aghast at the renowned photographer's downfall, making her the latest spectacular victim of the bad debt crisis and nationwide recession."
Seems to me she's a victim of spending not being matched by income, not either of those two things.

Max it, then hit the "set the size yourself" button. Right-click the PS item on the taskbar, hit "move", then use the arrow keys to get it back on screen.

So many people use the global downturn as a reason, or should I say excuse, for so many different things that really shouldn't and don't have any effect.
Edit: Side note, did she shoot medium format (probably digital, Hasselblad's maybe?) or did she shoot with a DSLR system?

She shot DLSR's and Medium format digital over the last several years. Nikon's, Canon's, Hasselblads, and Leicas for film. On her personal shoots she preferred to handle the film loaded Leicas and on professional shoots a mix of DSLR & FF DLSRs.
Spare bodies? There are always spare bodies around with a mounted lens ready to be handled to her by an assistant. Most of us would slide the battery out and "reset the system". She'd hand it over and ask for the spare. From the doco's I've seen and the books I've read she kept the rhythm up and is incredible accomodating toward her subjects.
I'd love to work with her to learn the creative aspect of photography then after a few years learn the business from Chase Jarvis.
Phil, that's some fine petal work. :)

If you have enough people regularly buying prints that the prospect of them not being able to have one is going to make them pay the extra, then it could be worth a shot.
For me, 10 would be more than I'd sell anyway, so while it might be technically true it was a limited edition, it wouldn't help me much :p

Try one light to the front bumper, one to the side and one behind the beast aimed at it.
I would shoot it at night outside the shed, one flash inside the 16 to light the interior with a warm gel on the flash, one from in from and at camera left high and one low in a similar spot. park the 16 in an action angle , like in a big washout, for more drama.
Pretty - very bright and vibrant :)

Car shopping is nowhere near as fun as people think it is :|
That depends entirely on your budget. ;)
Another good car to look into is a mid 90's Subaru Impreza. I had one for quite a few years without any troubles other than general maintenance. Just make sure you buy the 2.0L one not the 1.4(completely gutless). They can be had for quite a reasonable price and the engines are fantastic if you take care of them. Safe too with AWD on most of the good ones.

Oh definitely. I hate car shopping. I'd much prefer to buy new, but have never had the money to do so. The problem with buying second hand is you're buying someone else's problems.
My dad bought me my first car, which cost him $2000 and then cost me almost $10,000 in repairs. When I thought about getting a new car, I decided I'd probably try to never buy second hand again (obviously depending on the car, and what I need it for - I want to get a 4wd, but want an old banger I can treat like crap). Got a loan, got my new car, and haven't looked back since.

We bought our 2005 Magna when it was 18 months old - had depreciated about 55%. Put it on LPG and it's been brilliant.

Flash front/left - reflector right - flash behind the backdrop
Need to get something to stand the product on so I can get a coloured gel happening for the background. This will do for the moment though. I also think some more light on the background to blow it out to white?

Has anyone ever done "limited edition" prints and sold them? Thinking about doing some, framing them and getting the certificate etc (About 10 or so) and selling them.
I'm starting to put together some limited editions of 50 fine art prints - some are hanging in an exhibition at the moment. No need for a certificate; just get them printed on oversize fine art photo paper and then sign and number each one. You can have your pro lab print them as needed and sell them either framed or unframed. I aim to raise the prices as the numbers of each edition diminish.

Totally. The day you drive your new car home it has already depreciated 20%. If it's a recent 2nd hand car with low kms and comes with a reliable dealer warranty why would I opt for new?

Yeah, it's terrible. One of my friends has a 400D and kit lens, which I don't have a problem with, but his mates have been getting him to shoot their parties... he pops up the flash and takes his shots. And he took some shots for his assignment at school... no real composition at all, just stood there and shot it at his normal height, nothing creative...

Well, I dunno whether or not the fact that their all tele's is true. However, as the 24-70 is only a standard zoom, that's why it doesn't have the white paint.

Well apparently, if you use flex, you have greater range in comparison to the mini as the transmitter. You get a transceiver for slightly more, adding to more convenience. You get to be lazy, so you just take any unit and slop it onto your flash or body without thinking and looking.
