Ian H and myself spent another day at the bike racing. We did our usual walkabout the circuit and managed to get some nice shots.

Here is a sample of some taken today:

Winners always like to show off:

Even the non-winners like to show they can manage on one wheel:

Sometimes you wish you had three wheels:

I'll post some more later, including a few 'oops, I didn't mean to fall off' shots.

Awesome! I like the first and second shots. The bikes really stand out. I know you've heard it before, but nice work!

You know I like to use portrait mode on bikes. I have picked this one as an example of some I took at quite short range with the 300 and 1.4 where you have very little chance for error. In portrait you have a third less width to keep a travelling bike in frame and it can be a bit tricky.

Back to four wheels this coming weekend folks. Two solid days of great racing from 8am on Saturday and I am looking forward to it.

Christ, you'll be exhausted! Surely it'll get a bit repetitive, especially as there's only some places to shoot from on a circuit.

Your stuff is always fantastic. # 2 is my favorite.

Hi Pete. I can go anywhere around the track and Oulton Park is one very big circuit with lots of good spots to work from. Add to that the paddock and pit lane excursions and it is a busy day. I have to buy breakfast for one of my editors at the crack of dawn and do some promo shoots before practice, qualifying and the first races start. Loads of fun, but it is hard work I must admit. I walk about 15to20m each day.

My last bike post for a while as it is cars, cars and more cars for the next few weeks.

Getting low, and does my bum look big in this:

Ouch, think I'll stick with football and gigs, much less walking involved! lol

As Ken said we hiked around Croft at the weekend, I think an amphibious vehicle would have come in handy as some areas behind the armco were under quite a bit of water from last weeks rain:cry:

Keeping with the title of the thread here's one doing a wheelie, not in celebration just putting the power down:twisted:

I noticed a few of these competing, what appear to be stripped down racers

Kissing the tarmac

and this guy has spent some time on his back tarmac surfing judging by the back of his leathers

All shot with the 1DMKII and 100-400 lens edit: the last one was with the 70-200 2.8Lis

Cheers
Ian

Great shots Kenny, but how can walking 15 to 20 metres be hard work?
