Well, I was looking at buying a monopod. But now am looking at tripods. This is for trekking around on my bicycle and motorcycle. I have a Lowepro Flipside 400 AW. Which I have tried out on the bicycle and it's great. My equipment is listed in my sig file below. But I really need something to steady my shots. It would also be great if it was small enough to attach to the Flipside and take the whole thing on an airplane.
So any suggestions on what I should buy that won't break the bank. I am certainly not a pro but love the hobby. Thanks for all replies.

Consider light weight tripods like Gitzo 1541t, but that's expensive. A lot of guys like the Feisol cf and Benro cf which are less expensive, and they'll fill you in here on them.

You're in the area where the Markins shop is, and I might stop in and look at their lightweight ballheads, the Q3 and Q3t which will work great with these cf tripods.
