A couple questions.

Okay all, I need some tips. I have been doing photography for a few years now but I have never shot for money other than people I know (I'm 15). There is a Christian/Rock group that I would like to shoot for. Doesn't look or sound like they have a photographer to shoot exclusively for live performances.
I am wondering what I should charge, I don't want to charge a super amount as I am sure they don't make a lot of revenue and I don't want to walk in there like I own the place.
Can ANYONE give me a sample of the image licensing or agreement that you do for a small band? I would just like to see how it is worded.

Free, as I bet they won't be willing to pay for photos. Or have they asked you to take photos and what you charge?

In your position, I'd give them a CD of the best formatted as small, low resolution, 600px, images with a small © notice on them, & cropped so that they won't fit a standard print format. Like maybe 3X5. (& Yes, someone will try to print them.) ;)

If you have a version of PS, look under the File menu for "Info", & fill in as many of the fields & tabs as you can. Save the image with "Save As", NOT "Save for Web".
Note that you can also save the File Info & recall it for another image, which saves a lot of time. Someday you'll be glad that you did this.

On the CD, write © 2009 (your name), & "Rights granted - web use only"
Tell them that they can use them on their website for free. It's called "Chumming the water": "chum - bait consisting of chopped fish and fish oils that are dumped overboard to attract fish"

Sooner or later, they'll ask how much a print costs & you can sell the print & the rights to it.
