We went back to Boyce Thompson Arboretum for the 3rd weekend in a row to get pictures of the baby Anna's Hummingbirds as they grow up. Both babies have feathers and I'm sure will be gone before next weekend.
There wasn't much light so these were shot on a tripod at iso800 using the 100-400L with a 1.4xTC. Shutterspeeds were 1/100s and 1/80s.

Wow, I've always wondered what baby hummers looked like. I imagined them to be miniscule.

We had a lot of fun watching these babies grow up. I'm sure they'll be on their own by next weekend.
