I apologize if this question has been asked and answered before. We are a new shop that does photo favors at events and we need a Canon Digital Camera that has BOTH the USB Port and the A/V Port AND they both need to work at the same time. As we take each photo, we would like the customer to be able to see it on a TV screen, and if they approve it is immediately sent to the printer. i.e. we need a Canon with the A/V hooked to a tv and a USB hooked to the computer or printer ........ does canon have a camera that can do this? Thank you for your help.

Actually you don't need both. You need to use the SW that comes with most Canon DSLRs to send the image to the monitor of the computer and if the client selects the image, then you can print it. One port is all you need. Most Canon DSLRs will do what you need.

Thanks BWOLFORD:
The trouble that I have with Canon's Software [REMOTECAPTURE DC] is that it opens a very small window on the PC Screen that can't be enlarged - it's fine for me to see but the client would really need to get up close to my equipment to see the photo. I know that Canon provides BROWSER programs too but the images don't come up without an operator's intervention. Am I wrong?

There a quite a few photographers that do what you are asking about. And they do it while shooting.... Let me ask some of the folks I've talked to about this and ask for details...

You can do this with software other than lightroom. Canon DPP will do, as will BRIDGE, Windows Picture Veiwer, etc.

I know the 20D & 40D have a video out, but the OP didn't mention what camera they have. Both cameras came with a video only RF cable to connect to a TV to view pictures. Then set your photo review time to hold so the photo will stay on the TV until you press a button.

Breeze Systems DSLR Remote Pro has a very large photo image and allow you to quickly scroll between pictures to find the best one for printing.

I have used my 30D connected to the laptop to control the camera, while also using the video out connected to the TV to preview the images.
