I would say that you are a fine photographer -- especaily so considering that these are trip shots with a new camera! You seem to be a natural at relaxed compositions.
I loved: the little girl.. the tent...the "lodge" in the montains ... and you against the tree . The girl is just wonderful.
My comment relates to time of day. These shots (not unexpected given your trip conditions) seem to have been taken mid-day. I just wonder whether the mood and light might have been stronger in the dusk/dawn magic hours.

Many thanks for the feedback Howie,
You are right, most were taken on midday sun, prob was I had family tagging along!! so couldnt revist the scenes easily, next time I know what to do!
Little girl is my daughter BTW, Im really into photography now... so much to learn and its one of the few hobbies where you can be really creative, easy to get into hard to master. Bought a few books already!

The mountains in your pictures are particuarly impressive and on a much grander scale than the hillocks that I am used to. The weather changes by the minute over mountains and getting the really great shot is often a matter of luck or sheer persistence.
These are great and if you are into lanscape photography, Luminous Landscape is worth a visit.
