I was pretty impressed with the low amount of noise at 800 ISO. It's just a snapshot, but I wanted to share this with anyone who has not pushed the ISO speed up on thier 300D.

Resize, levels adjustment and a tiny bit of sharpening in PS. No noise reduction software used. Any and all comments welcome.

I have used my 300D at the 800 speed and I was very happy. I don't use it often up at that speed but when I have it worked fine.

Great photo.

More importantly, that is a realy nice, cute photograph!
I've printed 8x10's from the 300D at ISO800 that look silky smooth.
ISO1600 on the 300D is as clean ASA400 film from the good ol' days.
And "real photographers" from days of yore sure as heck wouldn't hesitate using ASA400 film if that was needed to get a shot, just because of a little noise. ;)

What a cute baby, you can start to see a bit of noise on the red dummy. But overall its a good shot at 800.

I think if you remove the dummy you will get more noise!

ok, I have to ask... Dummy must be a term for pacifier right? I have heard ninny, bink and a couple others just never dummy....

Post what you call them in your area :D

Now that is so flipping funny!

We called them passies. I called them corks to my wifes displeasure. Got to go cork the kid! LOL.

Really cute little baby. nice pic.

Nice photo! When I first saw it I was thinking 20D, but now I have new found hope for my little rebel :)

As long as the image is properly exposed, noise won't be as much of a problem :)
