Sorry, not until someone either eats those bananas or makes banana bread...they are on the verge of nasty.

cool shot, not bad, but not great...

Some tips I would use to help improve the pic a bit... From the looks of it, I'm thinking you did use the mounted flash, but just in case you did use an external, I would bounce the light either off of a wall, or off of the ceiling... That's just my personal opinion, simply because I don't like the way direct light reflects off of shiny objects, like the metal basket, especially when the metal's not polished... Another reason I'd like to see bounced light is also because of the horrible shadow that is casted onto the table, which kind of draws attention off of the subject...

Colors are cool, but I'd position the fruit so that it shows a bit more of the apple (?) at the very bottom... Other than that, you're on the right track!

Not sure if you wanted critique on the composition, but just telling you what I noticed... Of course, this is just my personal opinion, and I tried to be constructive with the post!

Keep it up, and I'd love to see some shots from outside, as someone suggested! :)

That pic seems a little oversaturated to me - my bananas aren't that vivid! It could be my LCD monitor though.

My intent was to try to get a sharp picture and it's not as sharp

as I would like. I'll try again when my 50mm 1.8 arrives.

Also have Photoshop elements arriving soon so I can play some more!

"Forgot" ordered the book Understanding Exposure that might help too!

Yup.... this is starting to be an expensive hobby!!

Another reason I'd like to see bounced light is also because of the horrible shadow that is casted onto the table, which kind of draws attention off of the subject... If you used RawShooter to process, you could add a bit of fill light here, but bouncing off a card would be better. Used M mode, TV 1/100, ISO 200, AV 8.0 If you used a tripod, there's no reason to use 1/100 sec. Drop down to 1/15, ISO 100 @ f/16.

Sorry totally amature. Don't be sorry! Everyone shoots crap at first & I shot some crap last weekend! Hopefully, the percentage goes down as we learn! :D:D:D
