I'm seriously considering a landscape trip to Namibia, hopefully soon. Thinking about the Skeleton Coast, Pontak Mountains, Erongo Mountains, Spitzkoppe, etc, as well as obviosuly Sossusvlei and Deadvlei.
Does anyone have any info or advice about any aspects of such a trip? ie, accomodation, best time to go, where etc? I've looked on Alamy so far and I think I'll look on Lonely Planet....

I was in Namibia last month and LOVED it... though i wouldn't spend much time in Windhoek -- outside of Johannesburg & Durban it is one of the most crime ridden cities in southern africa....
I spent some time in Etosha and the Namib Desert -- i would spend more time in the desert personally . . . though it was nice seeing all of the animals in the wild. not having personal transportation and relying on public transportation (which sucks), i ended up on tours which were pretty good, though they always feel rushed . . . yet i saw what i wanted to see and would always want to see more.....
