I just ordered a 4GB Hitachi microdrive. I did not know the model until I completed the order - 3K4-4. I have a G6. The Hitachi web site says the 3K6-4 & 3K6-6 are supported for the G6. Do I need to cancel the order - will it work?

I can't answer based on the info provided...
There are some Hitachi MD drives out there that have the CF card interface disabled,.. leaving only the standard PC ATA interface... these wil not work in Canon cameras.
Do you have a link to the site where you purchased the drive?

The 3k4 is supported for the G5 (3k6-4 supports both the G5 and G6),and isnot the flash for PDA only - I did verify that first. However, the 3k4-4it is not on the Hitachi site listed as compatiable with the G6. I suspect only the newer memory was tested with the G6.

Can the camera even address that much memory?

Yes, the G6 supports FAT32.
