I headed back to Thruxton yesterday for the second time in a few weeks, this time for the touring car qualifying and the other stuff that surrounds it. Mainly I focussed on lower shutter speed stuff - not too many keepers as a result, but I love a good sense of speed in motorsport pics.

You can click the pics to view larger copies and see more in my Flickr set (http://www.flickr.com/photos/domstubbs/sets/72157617316125304/). I'll probably upload a bunch more when I get around to sorting through the rest, too.

Any C&C would be welcome.

Love the Focus and the Clio on two wheels.
Nice set and great panning job!

Car 44 is my favourite from your collection. I have a preference for high speed panning shots, not always easy to get right, but stunning when it all falls into place. Good work there.

Cheers guys. I think a monopod is on the cards soon as it'd make the panning shots quite a bit easier.

nope

panning is much easier hand-held.

Really? I assumed it'd help keep the camera level. Oh well, at least that saves me a few quid.

Nice pannings. I like the ones with a wheel or two off the track.
The monopod is probably essential when an heavy lens is used.

The Clio ones are sweet!
