something a bit different for me. I recently stayed at a very cool hotel. this is a shot from the hallway. not sure if I like this photo just because I enjoyed my stay, or, if it might appeal to someone who has no emotional attachment. anyway, let me know what you think.

I like it...something I would try out and shoot.

Yep, a winner. Great composition. The red ceiling light proves a bit too hot and thus a distraction, but I'm not sure what could be done about it short of re-thinking the shot to include its ambient light but not the bulb itself. I like it.

I like it because of the red light. Adds some character. Nice shot!

yeah, i've been trying to figure out what do do about the hot light. I was thinking about cloning some of the lighter red color onto the light, but, I figured it would probably look cheezy, so I haven't gotten around to it yet. ultimately, i guess I've just decided to live with it.

thanks for the comments.

Ryan--

Might work. The bulb itself would be easy enough to select and work with in layers. Maybe paste in a little less luminous shade of the red and then lower the opacity of the layer to let just enough of the original to peek through to sell it. No matter, it's good--very good--as it is. Ihadn't mentioned it before, but the DOF is spot on.

I like it. Love the colours! ;)

The hot bulb doesn't bother me to be honest, as i feel that the composition leads me to the bulb anyway.

awesome shot! Love the colors and composition! I like the bulb--it keeps drawing my eye back and forth and feels really dynamic. It also echoes the shape of the "8's" on the sign so I think it's super cool!

Yeah, this is a great image. Inspires me to shoot more different subjects. I wouldn't mess with it.
