Need Recommendation For Powershot A530 Replacement

My Powershot A530 is shot and I'm looking for a replacement. It's been a terrific camera, and the photos I've taken with it -- landscape, macro, general snapshots have been great. I especially love the manual modes and the small size

Any suggestions for a replacement?

Manual modes, small size, there are about 2 - the A590 and the SD990, with significant price differences between them.
