Does anybody have an idea of front cover pricing for the German edition of GQ? I would like to have some idea of pricing before I start negotiations.

Thank you.

Too funny! A long time ago I sold a photo of a skiing star to a Canadian publication for what I thought was a good sum of money. The check was drawn on Canadian funds and after the conversion the bank hit me with another fee on top of that. All of a sudden I ended up making like 4 dollars. Never cashed that check but kept it as a reminder of what NOT to do. :o

GQ is real *big time*... Their circulation is huge...Good luck with the pricing... Hopefully, this will be one of your real big breaks into the elite, upper echelon.

The Photoshelter pricing calculator spits out a figure of $1716 for a cover shot of a German magazine with circulation of between 100K and 250K. The circulation figure from the of GQ Germany is 135,956.

Well than, 135K isn't that huge... I know it's a hot selling mag on NYC news stands... Than again, GQ isn't for just *anybody*.

There's a huge difference between US and Germany. :)

Germany - 83 million people - GQ circulation of 135K

US- 300 million people - GQ circulation of 790K
