Hi guys I'm looking to operate a combination of the following two flashes remotely 580EX II and 430ex. I've got 2 x pocket wizards mk II's however the light direction is not sufficient from the 580ex to trigger the 430ex.
I was wondering if I could purchase one of the cheap ebay triggers and use it in conjunction with the above setup.
I'm looking to use the lighting as can be seen in this video: http://vimeo.com/2992544
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Devs ;)

Nope, you can't use a different trigger. The best solution is to buy another PW.
It's possible to have a PW on the camera and one on the 580, with the 580 in manual master mode and the 430 in slave manual mode. That setup is problematic though, it frequently causes problems, and there've been two big threads about it in the past few months. I think it does work though, it's just a PITA.
Just get another Pocket Wizard (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/441353-REG/PocketWizard_801_125_Plus_II_Transceiver_Radio.htm l/BI/2312/KBID/3114) if you can afford it. $160 from B&H.

Of course he can use another brand trigger for the other flash, Tim. As long as the OP gets both the Tx and the Rx units for triggering the other flash. ;) :)
The only issue with an eBay trigger might be the possibility of it not working due to interference from the PW Tx unit with them both being so close together. :|
But I do agree that the better option would be to get another Plus II unit.

And a sync port splitter cable!

Not necessarily. If the OP has a camera other than a DRebel, he can mount the PW in the hotshoe and connect the other Tx unit to the PC port (or vice versa).

Thanks for the extra info PacAce, I'm a little confused
I'm using a 5D mk2 along with a 580ex m2 and a 430ex + 2 x PWs
The problem that I have is both flashes will be snooted like in the video (link posted below) so I'm pretty sure that the 580ex will not be able to trigger the 430ex because the 430 will not see the emitted flash.
I'm I right or mad?

Ignore the last few posts they're just messing around, get another PW.

The suggestion offered was for you to either get another PW unit or another set of radio triggers (a Tx and Rx set). With each flash connected to its own radio unit, you won't have any problems triggering them even if you're using snoots on them.
