I wish Pontiac would have done something different with the G8. It is a sleeper, but not an eye turner. It looks like a rice burner.

I know what it can do, but it does not look the part. It does not exude "American Muscle".

I hope that once we get out of the "Obama" era that the Pontiac name is resurrected.

Why would they? Pontiac is dead....

Nice car.
OT but sad to hear about Pontiac. Was hoping to see the new Firebird based on the upcoming Camero.

If they would have kept the GTX/GTP body, it may have sold better.

Sorry to Highjack your thread Matt, but I am pretty distraut about Pontiac. They have always been the "Test" company for GM. They come out with a few sexy body styles that really do not live up to their looks. I have had two Fieros, and I wish they would have put an engine/suspension system to keep up with the looks.

With the G8 they put an engine and suspension together, but left out the looks..:mad:

In 2005 (I think), Pontiac bought the Monaro and changed it to a Pontiac GTO. Very shameful and disloyal move, Monaro's are beautiful and historical cars.
Newer versions look a lot like the VE Commodores, bit of a Lancer/VE combo. I'm not a fan of new cars with some exceptions, however I really don't like the Pontiac's version of commodores. :(

As for the OP,
Interesting style, some inspiration in there for creativity :) I find it strange for a late model car in a B/W burnout shot, personally. Although not great, I love that shot of the rubber on the road.
Top stuff man!

Interesting series. I suggest that you think about some of your crops. Just because someone decided on a 2:3 sensor, doesn't mean that every image has to conform to it?

Sorry B/W was the best choice since my shutter speed was low and I really didn't think about being super steady and was blurry. Everyone knows a shot that doesnt look that good put it in B/W and it makes it look better:lol:

2:3 sensor? The sensors proportions - makes an uncropped 4X6, 8X12, 12X18" print format.
Some images needs cropping to make them better, which is why there are matts so that they fit in "standard" frames. (http://www.matcutter.com/catalog.php?catid=38&styleid=1&parentcatid=2&parentstyleid=1&parentcatname=BACKS) Is this better? I'd try cropping closer to the bumper, but then I'd never frame it that way in the first place. ;) Or this? Same as the one I cropped. Uninspiring sky & blah pavement. Crop down into the building & up near the cars.
