Hi guys! Hope you can help me with my problem with my Ixus. As you can see in the picture below, photos taken by my cam is distorted by these horizontal lines and extra lights. Don't know how this is happening. I'm hoping there is a simple solution. These lines, however, do not appear when I'm shooting videos. Does anyone here encountered the same problem? Hope you can help me out guys. Thanks!

What model? You might check out this sticky (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=238911) to see if yours is one of the affected models. It's a sensor issue by the looks of things, and if it's still under warranty, that would be the logical course of action. If the warranty's expired and it's one of the affected models, your "local" Canon factory service center should take care of it; and Canon may be recognizing newer models as also being affected, so it's worth checking.

You won't see the scan lines in video clips because they're a much lower resolution than still photos are.

Thanks so much Jon. Its IXUS750. Quite an old model. Bringing it to the service center is actually my next step. Just want some opinions first because the service center here is a bit screwed up. They told my friend that his cam's problem will cost him about USD250 and needs its motherboard to be replaced blah blah. Anyway, it turned out that he only needs to replace his batteries.

Thanks again.
