Well Canon finally got around to sending me the special XL-2 (video cam) service membership that was a send in bonus, that I sent in back in Jul 04, You will note it is Apr 05 now. What is that 9 months? That would explain why I haven't seen anything from the stuff I sent in on my 1DsMkII yet. I am thinking I should expect that around August some time. Although in fairness, I am not sure they owe many anything for that purchase, but I know I sent something in, with my "L" lenses listed.
Service for the two repairs I have needed (both EF lenses) has been fast, but send in and rebates appear to be a bit slow.
The really sad part is this letter only had to go across the James River (from Newport News, VA to Cheasapeke, VA) from me, I could have driven there in about 45 minutes.
