ok... im trying to work on my workflow and my b&w conversions, all together with trying to get a better grip on studio lighting, so there are a TON of variables here... im posting a raw version of what i pulled into photoshop so you can see w/ what i started:

rather bland, good skin tones, technicly speaking the histogram has this pretty dead on the money w/ a sharp spike just barely to the right of dead center.

im a fan of contrast in shots, especially b&w, but sometimes i think i go to far... thoughts on the b&w version:

The b&w one looks dull, I don't know what it is or why but its dull. What did you use to convert it?

Her skin is looking very rough in the B&W, where it doesn't bother me in color.
