I like the idea of the shot, I think the crop is a little too close on the back end though. It's probably my monitor here at work but it looks just a little under exposed from here. The overall image looks just a little soft. I'd like to see a slower shutter speed for more of the panning effect. Whenever I'm panning I also set my camera to the servo setting to continually focus until I take the shot. Hope that provides some insight.

I'm not sure if the Rebels have it but if you go into your shutter settings where you can select single frame, multi frame, timed, etc... there should be where you can select AI Servo. Typically that's what I use out at the track because you can hold the trigger half way down which allows you to pan while continously focusing rather then the camera just locking the focus while you pan.
