Hey cats and kittens;

Here is the one that almost got away!

I managed a quick snapshot from the steps of my departing flight.

JFK is the holy grail of spotting for this midwestern boy. There were airlines I have never heard of, let alone photographed. I only saw two NWA planes at the entire airport :D

Well, that is a nice chance shot! I wish you would have ran out and cleared all the junk out of the way before hand though. Lol. Good job!

They are regulars into London Heathrow but never managed to be in the right spot at the right time :-(

Nice shot

Hong Kong (HKG) and London (LHR) are fantastic spotting airports!

I grew up directly under the approach to JFK 22L/22R so I spotted out my window all night long as a kid and while sitting on the garage roof (my kids do it now).

I would love to! I might get the chance later this year, I have a project that may take me out there!

I know the feeling, that is what happens at my home airport MSP :(

Yes, I heard they were switching aircraft also. No el-al for me. Northwest/Delta from MSP, had to take a "bus" to get to the plane parked on the tarmac.

Not much interest in HKG for me. LHR would be a great trip, however.

I hope my flight did not buzz your house on the way out!

Stay tuned to "Transportation" I was in JFK this week and got some good shots and will be back out the first week of June :cool:

Nice find, I'd love to see one of these but I don't think they land at pdx.

I was actually on board an EL AL 777 and spotted this huge monster parked on the tarmac while we were taxing out to the runway for departure. Wish I had a better view than my isle seat... :(

It's a pity you didn't get a shot of it in the air - but then, presumably, you would have missed your flight!
