My wife is entering a contest. Its for women 40 and up. Its kind of a beauty contest put on by a national fashion company. The applicants must submit a photo with thier application online.

What kind of photo should I submit? Remember i am very new to all this. I have no clue.

Should it be a head shot?
3 quarter pose?
In studio?
Outdoors?

What will give her the best chance to be chosen for the contest?

Thanx in advance.

Post the requirements from the contest.

First take DocFrankenstein's advice,
Then if permitted,
I recommend outdoors on a sunny day, blur the background. Make sure she stands out. Best if shot waist on up. In my opinion a head shot is less likely to be picked then one that shows some body. Swimsuit or sun dress would be my choice for clothes. Most importantly what ever makes her look the best and stand out.

At least these are the ones I would be more likely to pick, thus they are the ones I would be more likely to take in that circumstance.

Just my opinion,

Will they let you do something like this?

Yes they will
I will find the rules and post them here, hopefully in a couple days.
