Was thinking of taking a trip to our Aquarium and bringing along my camera.
I have a Rebel xt, kit lens, 50mm 1.8 mk I and a Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro.
Was thinking the Kit lens and 50mm would be the lens to stick with.
Any tips that you can offer to a complete newb on getting the best shot?

Since you used a good title, look at the links at the very bottom left hand corner of this page.

70-300 wouldnt work too well. use your 50 1.8 Put your cam at max resolution RAW setting. Use a tripod if at all possible. Smallest F stop of 1.8 most of the time with the highest ISO you can since you will mostly be in dim lit spaces. If its a brightly lit display try to up the F stop to get some better DOF and sharpness to the picture.
