I also visited a miniature railway with my 2 year old son last weekend ... but it was a spur-of-the-moment thing and I did not have the camera with me :confused:

Well, one more reason for me to repeat the venture :D

#2 is wonderful. You've caught his mood (curiousity/anticipation) perfectly and your composition is bang on. Color (B&W) is very good for being in the shade of the fence. This is one of my favorite photo's yet.

We have some of em in Van, I remember it being my fav thing when I was five sixish years old.

Thanks for the comments everyone. The sepia effect looked much better than color for these pics, I think it worked better with dark shadows and bright sunlight.
